The Flash Inspector is one useful tool that you can use when embedding Flowplayer into your site. You can use it to debug your configuration problems for example.

Just launch the Flash Inspector in a separate browser window or a separate browser tab. After that open the page where you have embedded Flowplayer. When the player loads it writes a lot of log and the Flash Inspector will show all those entries.

You will see what kind of configuration object it receives, for example, and if it manages to parse the configuration JSON object. Many other things get logged as well.
