The Flash Inspector is one useful tool that you can use when embedding Flowplayer into your site. You can use it to debug your configuration problems for example.

Just launch the Flash Inspector in a separate browser window or a separate browser tab. After that open the page where you have embedded Flowplayer. When the player loads it writes a lot of log and the Flash Inspector will show all those entries.

A new 2.0.1 fix release is out. This one fixes some bugs that were present in the 2.0 release:

• * Does not show the video link in the Embed popup unless the videoLink parameter is specified in config. Now there is a way to offer the embed option without offering a direct link to the video file.
• * Email sending of "Email to a friend" works now by default, it sends the data to flowplayer.org's email sender.
• * Menu is now always correctly opened above the control bar.

The demos have been updated to use the latest 2.0.1 player are back online. There's also example code to help you when integrating the player into your site.

Pheew! After a long period of development and testing we have finally released the new Flowplayer site and a new player version.

This is the long list of new features in Flowplayer 2.0:

• * New default skin 'air'. Old 'black' and 'white' skins were
  dropped because everyone will want to use this highly customizable new skin.
• * Sharing a video link via e-mail feature. Accessed from the menu.
• * New button to mute and unmute the sound volume.

A new version with bug fixes is out. This one fixes following:

• The problem that caused page reloading issues with Internet Explorer has been fixed. See the the demo and discussion here for details.
• The player does not load the fullscreen.js any more from flowplayer.org when using the native full screen mode.
• Volume level is not reset back to 100% when seeking in the video time line.

We are developing a new in-video advertising platform. This platform
will consist of three major parts: A new backend AdServer, a new Web
site that offers tools for our users, and a new enhanced FlowPlayer
version to be used as the client that shows the ads. We will be
offering this service to both publishers and to advertisers. Here is a
preview of things to come.

All existing and new Flowplayer users can become publishers. This
provides them a possibility to monetize from their online videos. You
will be able to use FlowPlayer to show in-video ads. The videos can be

This site is hosted by EZPZ hosting. EZPZ offers excellent customer support. Let me give you an example: The other day there was a strange MySQL problem that prevented users from loggin in into this site. I tried to figure out the problem using the MySQL Web admin tools that are available in the EZPZ administration pages. Soon I realized that I could not fix this by myself so I e-mailed ezpz customer support. I got a reply after 13 minutes saying that they are investigating the issue.

FlowPlayer has a new logo! You can see it right there in the upper left corner. This logo was created and contributed by Hand Turkey Studios. I am really pleased with the result and would like to thank Hand Turkey Studios and especially Jason who worked hard to produce this wonderful piece of Art. I've also changed the font colors used in this site. I hope the green color is different enough so that the links can be easily spotted from within the black body text.
